I maybe a beginner at some things, but I've got a black belt in shopping

I probably got cursed by my previous blog post. After that post, I got sick and now laying weak on the bed. But remember, hustler don't give up; blog post still gotta come out on time!

As you can tell on the title, this post is dedicated to my shopping life. I know a lot of bloggers out there get freebies, but most of the time I don't. A lot of bloggers out there spend thousand of dollars on their handbags and outfits, and I typically spend less than $50 for each of my outfit. How do I stay on top of fashion without burning my wallet?

Fashion comes and go, and I am a big believer of affordable shopping. I am always so obsessed with new styles and trends, so I know I will only wear some of the things I have once or twice. That's why I feel bad spending a ton of money on fashion. I shop a lot, but the things I buy are good priced!

How to shop an outfit that cost less than $30? There are a few tricks that I would like to share with you:

First, I shop in fashion forward affordable stores. The stores I often visit are: Romwe, Zara, Asos, Forever 21, H&M, Tobi, Chicwish, and Lulu's. I typically don't really shop in these stores unless they go on sale: 50% or more.

To keep my sale alarm intact, I have a phone application called Shopular. Basically this application inform me daily if my selected stores have sales going on. They also offer cash back if you order from their site. So last time I purchased a sling purse from Kate Spade for $50 with normal price $150. I also got a 4% cash back, because I found the deal from Shopular. I also got informed quickly when Zara is on sale! or Forever 21 has extra 40% off of the sale rack. Typically for clothes I don't spend more than $15 per piece, unless I really really want it.

Lastly - reuse fashion. There are two ways you can apply this. Popular bloggers like Chriselle Lim sometimes sell her used clothes for good cause (donation). Last time I bought a branded shoes and purse from her for $20 and $15, and from the sale my money went for good cause. This made me feel good. Of course her stuff sold out pretty quickly, but if you are lucky enough, you'll find things. Also you can reuse your own fashion. I and my family are hoarders. I have clothes that I brought from Indonesia 8 years ago. You know fashion comes in cycle, it may be out of fashion today, but in a few years, the style may come back. For that reason, I often times keep my unique finds in my wardrobe, and I bring those back once the trend calls for it! An example for this: clogs and mules (2011, 2017)!

Are you ready to become one of the shopping black belts? Let me know how it goes for you and share if you have any different tricks you can share with me!
